Everything about Song Bird Ranch made my heart and soul sing. The guest cottage was spotlessly clean, and delightfully decorated with things to make it a cozy retreat. The owners of the ranch bent over backwards to welcome us and give us a fabulous experience with fun times in the snow, interaction with the animals, and delicious, fresh, homemade food. The cabin was supplied with a lovely variety of games and books for indoor entertainment. We also loved roasting marshmallows outdoors in the fire at night. This ranch is a perfect place to reconnect with nature and take a break from city life.

The attention to detail is amazing. Lara thank you!!. So glad we found you for our ski trip. It may be a 10 min drive to Baldy but this is a place worth staying while skiing. Some exceptional highlights:

1- the icey walk had hay put down so we wouldn’t slip packing bags in

2-the custom sandwich board welcoming us in was first class

3- the Heat on and cozy!

4- The above and beyond valentines goodies and welcome note.

5- The well appointed super clean place

These are just the first things!! Can’t say enough about the cozy little stay we had. You won’t regret this place.

Thanks Lara for wonderful, peaceful time at Song bird ranch. We had great time, fresh powder made all even better. Skiing Baldy and even cross country skiing, we had blast . Snowshoe at your place and seeing animals tracks in forests, we have great memories of our stay. We will be back. Thanks

We had a lovely stay at Song Bird Ranch for my boyfriends 30th birthday. Lara baked us some amazing fresh buns to go with dinner on Saturday and on Sunday we woke to eggs Benny breakfast made with Mikes home smoked brisket 10/10 recommend. The ranch is a definition of tranquil, not a neighbour in sight and so much wild life to be seen and heard. Lara and Mike are wonderful hosts who made us feel very welcome, We will be visiting again in the spring/summer, can’t wait to see the rest of Lara’s vision come to life.

What a warm welcoming place to come to! From the stringed coloured lights lighting our way, to the welcome winter getaway sign, to the warm fire, made quilted beds, to farm fresh eggs & buns, to cupcakes to top it all off.

We came for ski vacation to Baldy and felt so blessed to wake up to the beautiful view of this property and the cozy fire. thank you Lara for even setting me up with snowshoes when you heard I hurt my knee.

We already are thinking of another occasion to come back. Thank you for your excellent communications and hospitality.

A fun weekend visit with long time friends. Lara and Mike have worked hard to create a beautiful getaway. Be prepared for a fantastic breakfast and a lovely escape. Will definitely sneak in another visit very soon.

Visiting Songbird Ranch was a wonderful experience. The location is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed being able to relax by taking a nice hike and then coming back to sit by a crackling campfire. The cabin itself make us want to move in permanently, with its pleasant décor and comfortable furnishings. The hosts, Mike and Lara were friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. The meal they prepared for us was delicious. It’s an extra that we don’t recommend going without. We recommend it highly. As we drove home after our two night stay, we were already planning our next visit.

Me and my mom spent my 25th birthday weekend here and we are at a loss of words. This was one of the most memorable places we have visited and Mike and Laura treated us as part of the family. The food was exceptional and the cabin really did feel like home. 10/10 experience I most definitely would recommend!
